Are electronic signatures valid on waivers?

A drawn signature on a phone is not automatically invalid. What matters is evidence: who signed, what they saw, and that the copy was not quietly edited later.

What you should be able to show

Who signed (name, and usually an email or phone). The text of the version they agreed to. When and from where (time, IP, device). A signature image or a typed-name plus a consent checkbox. A copy you still have.

What ConsentForms stores

The submission payload is envelope-encrypted. The database keeps pointers and hashes, not the answers in plain text. Each published form version has a SHA-256 content hash, so the audit record points at the text they actually saw. You can download a signed PDF.

What this is not

This is not legal advice and not a guarantee a judge in every state will treat every waiver the same. Some documents still want wet ink or a notary (child travel letters often do). We are not a HIPAA product.

Questions

Do they need an account to sign?

No. They open the link and sign. You keep the record.
